From artisan food producers and countryside retailers to agricultural businesses and local organisations, the trade stand area remains one of the busiest and most popular parts of Moreton Show.
Following the success of the 2025 Show, organisers are celebrating last year’s trade stand award winners while highlighting the lasting benefits of exhibiting at Moreton Show and encouraging businesses to consider exhibiting in 2027.
How the trade stand awards work
The annual awards recognise exhibitors who go above and beyond with their presentation, visitor engagement and overall stand experience, across four categories: Small Trade Stand, Large Trade Stand, Craft & Retail and Food.
Winning businesses in 2025 included local charities, independent retailers, agricultural suppliers, food producers and family-run countryside businesses, reflecting the variety that helps make the Show such a popular day out.

Ten years of trading: Granary Oils
Rachel Tame from TR Tame & Son, trading as Granary Oils, said: “Granary Oils started selling walnuts and cold-pressed rapeseed oil 12 years ago as a diversification alongside our traditional sheep farm. As a local family business based only five miles away in Burmington, we have been trading at Moreton Show for almost 10 years.
“We take great pride in our products and feel they are unique. Attending the show allows us to meet customers face to face, many of whom have returned to us year after year. Winning a trade stand award at last year’s show was a great honour and we are very much looking forward to this year’s show.”
A debut win for The Redesdale Hall Trust
The Redesdale Hall Trust, which won 1st place in the Small Trade Stand category, used its debut appearance at Moreton Show in 2025 to raise awareness of its conservation work. It engaged visitors with displays showcasing the restoration of St Peter’s Church bell tower in Moreton-in-Marsh.
A spokesperson for the Trust said: “We brought along restored oak panels, a scale model of the church roof and displays explaining the specialist craftsmanship involved in the project. We feel it was this level of engagement that helped us win the award, which we were absolutely delighted about. We are returning this year to share progress and encourage people to support our next conservation project by sponsoring a roof tile.”
The Trust will return to Moreton Show 2026 to share updates on its work and continue raising awareness of local heritage conservation.
What the other winners had to say
Isobel Smith from Sweet Potato Spirit added: “We have attended and traded at Moreton Show for many years and love every year. The atmosphere and the lovely customers we see make our days. It was an honour to win a trade stand award at the 2025 Moreton Show and we can’t wait to exhibit again in 2026.”
Kate Robinson from Joy Illustrations, winner of the 2025 Craft & Retail category, said: “It was a huge surprise to find out I had won a prize, especially when the standard of displays throughout the show was so high. Winning the award gave my business more public exposure and new customer interactions than at any other point last year.
“Although very local to me, Moreton Show attracts visitors from far and wide looking to experience the Cotswolds and country life. It was lovely to have returning customers actively seeking out my stand because they remembered me from previous years. I’ll certainly be back this year and hope to see some familiar faces again.”
Caroline Butcher from Hats CByC, which achieved 3rd place in the Craft & Retail category alongside business collaborator Anne Hutchinson Fancy Plumes, described the award as “completely unexpected and such an achievement considering the amount of trade stands attending.”
Reflecting on exhibiting at the Show for the first time, Caroline added: “The professionalism and love so many traders put into their business is really apparent and proud to be part of it.”
Why trade stands matter to Moreton Show
Trade stands continue to play an important role in the overall Show experience, helping visitors discover local businesses, independent makers, rural services, food producers and countryside brands all in one place.
With strong visitor numbers, loyal returning audiences and a growing waiting list for some sections, the awards also highlight the value exhibitors place on being part of the Show year after year.
Moreton Show 2026 takes place on Saturday 5 September, with enquiries for future trade stand opportunities, including 2027, welcomed by the Show team.
