Moreton Show 2026 is almost here. On Saturday 5th September, the show returns to the Batsford Estate for a day of farming, food and country life. With just weeks to go, organisers are putting the finishing touches to this year’s programme.

Now in its 77th year, Moreton Show has become a fixture in the agricultural calendar, drawing thousands of visitors from across the Cotswolds and beyond for a day that brings together agriculture, equestrian sport, local produce and family entertainment in one place. As the countdown continues, here’s everything you need to know before you go.

When and where is Moreton Show 2026?

Moreton Show takes place on Saturday 5th September 2026 at the Batsford Estate. Advance booking is recommended, as thousands of visitors are expected across the day. Children aged 12 and under go free.

What’s on at Moreton Show

The programme includes more than 30 Horse of the Year Show qualifying classes. Elsewhere across the site, visitors can catch:

  • The Shetland Pony Grand National
  • Arena Eventing
  • Steve Longton’s sheepdog demonstrations
  • Wye Valley Falconry
  • The Clumber Spaniels and Strigidae Gundogs displays
  • Terrier Racing
  • The Heavy Horse Parade and Farrier competitions

Other attractions include Dangerous Steve, the Magical Musical Bike, and Oxford Sandy & Black pigs.

Family fun at Moreton Show

Younger visitors are well catered for too. The Attwell Farm Park Mini Farm and children’s Claas ride-on tractors return, alongside the Junior Off-Roaders and a visit from Circus Kevin. Dog lovers can head to the Cotswold Raw Companion Dog Show, while the wider programme keeps children entertained from the moment the gates open.

Food, drink and rural crafts

Beyond the main arena, hundreds of trade stands line the showground, alongside the Food & Drink Theatre, where visitors can sample local produce. The show’s traditional competitions continue, including flowers, photography, home baking and children’s entries. The Home & Garden Marquee, vintage machinery displays and rural crafts stalls are also part of the day.
